You want to always be a credible borrower. Good credit hygiene starts with understanding your credit report, including credit scores, using “free credit” and auto financing. And, we’ll cover how to avoid high-cost credit.

Year 1, Quarter 4: The Value of Goals
It’s important to have financial goals for all you want to accomplish. We will talk about your dreams, set short-, medium- and long-term goals, and help you establish measures of success

Year 1, Quarter 3: Take it to the Bank
We’ll cover using banking accounts with intent. We’ll talk about how your credit union accounts can work for you, helping you manage weekly, monthly and yearly cash flow. And we’ll cover how to avoid fees.

Year 2, Quarter 1: Let’s Go Home
For most people, owning a home is a dream. Luckily, it is a dream that can come true for almost everyone. We’ll focus on preparing for purchasing a home - including types of loans, down payment requirements (and assistance), and the costs of home ownership.

Year 2 Quarter 2: Being Prepared
There are financial considerations other than savings and credit. It’s important to be prepared for uncertainty. We’ll help you evaluate the basics: a will, powers-of-attorney, life insurance, beneficiary designation and end-of-life directions.

You’ve been saving. Now, it’s time to start investing. We’ll guide you in understanding the many types of investments beyond bank accounts. 401(k). IRA. Roth. Mutual funds. And, we’ll assist you in your transition from being a saver to becoming in investor.
